How to sign Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarbough, etc, in ASL?
I am taking ASL at University. However, I had to miss 4 classes due to my grandmother’s health. Now, I have a test and my teacher explain how to sign cities near toronto, and also neighbourhoods. There is only 12 people in my class and they didn’t remember how to sign those cities. Anyone knows a good website, link, video, where I can see how to sign them? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance..
I know the sign for Toronto, but the smaller towns around it are probably only known by people in your area. The best bet would ask your teacher to review them, you can mention that you asked classmates and they didn’t know either. Or, ask a Deaf person in your area, or a more advanced ASL student.
The sign I always see for Toronto is the bent-B hand, thumb out, touching your chest. Have your fingertips touch the left side of your chest, then the right side (assuming you’re right handed).
Hope your grandmother is doing okay.
