Minis War
My daschund dose a playful growl when I play tug-of-war with her, is that ok?

Hi, I have a female long haired mini daschund who is six months old. When I play tug-of-war with her; she dose a playful growl. It dosn’t sound agressive or anything. (I think it’s kinda cute.) Someone told me it’s not good for her to be doing that, like it can teach her to be agressive. But she hasn’t ever been agressive before. Is it ok for her to growl?

That sounds great! Growling is fine, it’s part of the game. (As long as he is following the rules you set up.)

Tug can be a great reinforcement for your dog. Have you seen agility dogs, loads of them have tug as a reward!

Tug can teach self control, leave it, take it, and it helps “mouthy” dogs what is appropriate to bit on.

I am even using tug to help with our barking problem.
